Our client is seeking an experienced Communications Project Officer (Senior Administrator) to join their Communications and Customer Experience team in a part-time job-share capacity through to 30 January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised administrator or project support professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with senior leaders while supporting a dynamic team.

About the Role Reporting to the Communications and Customer Experience Section Manager, you will play a key role in providing executive, project, and administrative support across the team.

You will be responsible for supporting the Section Manager through effective diary management, preparing business papers and reports, maintaining corporate records and data, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations. You will also provide broader project and administrative support to the Communications and Customer Experience team.

This is a busy and often reactive environment, requiring someone who can anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and provide proactive support across a wide range of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive assistance to the Communications and Customer Experience Section Manager
• Manage a complex corporate diary and coordinate meetings and appointments
• Prepare, draft, format and distribute business papers, reports and other documentation
• Maintain and manage information across corporate systems
• Provide project coordination and administrative support to the wider team
• Assist with reporting requirements and business processes
• Support the team in a fast-paced environment by responding to changing priorities and operational needs

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Previous experience supporting a senior leader within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience drafting and formatting business papers and reports within a corporate setting
• Demonstrated experience managing complex diaries and schedules
• The ability to work proactively, independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A tertiary qualification in Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline (desirable)

Systems Experience Experience using the following systems will be highly regarded:

• Authority (Council System)
• Microsoft Office Suite
