Our client is a leading Australian financial services group, a household brand name and an award winning employer of choice.  Due to an internal promotion they have an excellent opportunity for a newly or recently CA qualified accountant to join their high calibre finance team.  

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will focus on:

  • Prepare financial statements and notes (or component parts for larger entities)
  • Prepare regulatory returns (or component parts)
  • Draft board papers and other explanatory material
  • Prepare, collect and review data to support accounting records
  • Prepare, post and documents accounting entries
  • Perform analytical reviews, reconciliations and other control procedures
  • Monitor solvency and liquidity of legal entities
  • Process improvement and finance project exposure

This is a great learning and growth opportunity for a senior accountant or assistant manager from a Big 4 or Top 20 audit firm with financial services clients looking to take their first step into the financial services world. Alternatively the role would also would suit a recently qualified financial accountant from a financial services group looking for a fluid and fast paced environment with superb opportunities for growth and progression. In addition, you will be a strong communicator with a process improvement mindset.
