Apply: Business Development Manager, General Insurance

Join Singapore’s well-established general insurance business as they continue to drive customer and portfolio growth. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Bancassurance, the Business Development Manager will work with their banking partners to identify and engage customers on their general insurance needs. You will seek to understand the clients’ portfolio and execute business development strategies to achieve growth. As an advocate of the business, you will drive consistent engagement with bank partners, and communicate effectively with the underwriting team.

The successful individual will gain strong working experience in one of the world’s largest P&C insurer and develop their commercial general insurance knowledge. We are seeking for experienced general insurance professionals with both strong customer-centric skills as well as a driven, commercial mindset to thrive in this role and team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Head of Commercial Bancassurance to execute sales and business development strategy
• Establish strong partnerships with our bancassurance partners, understand the customers’ needs
• Effectively communicate and coordinate deal flow and critical information between partners and underwriting departments
• Coordinate with internal departments for problem solving and service improvements
• General Insurance Advice - Provide existing Insureds and prospects with appropriate general insurance advice
• Get involved with new product launches and campaigns with partners

Key Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent
• Must have at least 4 to 6 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry
• Insurance certifications (BCP, ComGI, PGI)
• Good working knowledge of commercial general insurance products and sales of insurance in banks
• Proven sales track record as well as record in developing products to increase market share
• Self –motivated, creative, driven and resourceful
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to relate at different levels
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
