My client, an established property development/real estate business with an expansive portfolio of projects including residential/mix use is looking for a ‘Financial Account’ or ‘Property Accountant’.
 
 
Role:                      Financial Accountant
Salary:                   Depending upon experience
Type:                     Office Based (5 days in the office)
Location:                Sydney

 

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Financial Reporting – month, quarterly and year-end accounts
  • AP/AR management
  • Preparation of BAS, PAYG, and payroll tax etc.
  • Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation and posting journal entries
  • Compliance and reporting
  • Assist with the fixed asset registers to calculate tax depreciation and capital allowance
  • Manage accounts in-box
  • Petty cash / Bank / Inter-company reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with audit process and auditor queries
  • Assist with administrative matters and ad-hoc duties
 
Job Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Accounting  
  • Ideally CA/CPA qualified
  • Ideally someone that has worked within the property/construction industry
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Someone that is analytical
  • Ability to work in a faced past environment
  • Excellent time management, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal
  • Good work ethic with a can-do attitude
  • Ideally experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, Xero etc.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Can work as a team but also independently
