This role is in the Digital Delivery team, reporting in to our Platform Owner for Mobile. The team headcount is currently at 5, they already have a perm iOS developer and need someone to manage the Android work.

This role is focusing on adding to and enhancing the features on the current company apps, there could potentially be new app work in the future.

The candidate must have;
  • Deep knowledge of Kotlin, Java, Android platform SDKs and common libraries such as dependency injection and networking
  • Strong understanding of web services and API-backed mobile app development
  • Know what OAuth is and how to use it securely
  • Comfortable with popular Android application architecture approaches
  • Experience within the full app development lifecycle
  • Demonstrable skill in building scalable, responsive UI
  • Experienced with modern team development workflow, including git, code reviews and continuous integration
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience with automated testing (unit tests, functional tests, acceptance tests)
  • Relevant tertiary education
  • In depth experience in creating large scale applications
  • Passionate about User Experience
  • Great communicator - demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers and influence your peers
