The company is looking to grow their Senior Management team and engineering team with the appointment of a CTO. The CTO will be responsible for the technical decision making at a senior level within the company, as well as ensuring technology is used efficiently, reliable and safely.
 
The CTO will also be responsible for allocating resources for their product, as well as developing and implementing strategies for growth. They are looking for the CTO to help allocate the resources needed to develop their product as well as developing a growth strategy from a technical perspective.
 
Finally, they are looking for a CTO who will help to create an environment in which members can give 100% of themselves. The CTO needs to be able to create an environment in which their development team can flourish and grow.
 
Responsibilities

• As a member of the company's management, you will be committed to the success of the company
• Support not only the Engineering teams, but other divisions under which you have influence
• As part of the Senior Management team, provide a technical perspective to the growth and development of the company (Advise the management from the CTO's perspective)
• Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technology requirements
• Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company
• Ensuring that the technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs
• Leading the design and development of new product functions
• Supporting product maintenance, formulation of maintenance policy and workflow construction
• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technology services
• Plan and implement measures to assess and improve product quality in collaboration with the Business Development team
• Leading the engineering team and implementing measures which will lead to improved team performance and productivity
• Supporting the success of the engineering team through recruitment and the development of team members
• Staying on top of technology trends and developments
• Ensuring all technology practices adhere to the regulatory standards

 
Minimum Qualifications

• Business level fluent in English and Japanese
• Experience in English managing a multinational team
• 12 years working in a technology role
• 10 years of managerial experience
• 8 years of experience in cloud computing operation of own service
• Exceptional team management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to delegate efficiently
• Extensive technical knowledge with an eye towards the future

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience either developing products for, or being employed by, satellite operators
• Experience and knowledge of ground station services
• Knowledge related to satellite communications and RF
• Experience as a Product Manager
• Co-Founder/CxO experience
