Our client, a leading energy retailer, is seeking a Senior Retail Compliance Advisor to join their Sydney office. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive compliance advice and support, ensuring the business adheres to legal and regulatory retail frameworks. Your responsibilities will include assessing potential compliance breaches, conducting trend analysis, and reviewing business processes for regulatory compliance.

You will also establish strong stakeholder relationships, developing a deep understanding of internal compliance directions and supporting business goals. Additionally, you will maintain current knowledge of legislation, manage the Compliance inbox, and contribute to the development and maintenance of the compliance knowledge base. Adherence to health, safety, and environment policies is crucial, taking personal accountability for safety and assisting others in these responsibilities.

To be considered for this role you must have:

• - 5+ years of compliance experience in the energy sector (Financial Services candidates will not be considered)
• - Comprehensive understanding of retail energy sector regulatory obligations.
• - Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and proven stakeholder management experience. Y
• - Ability to quickly assimilate information, conduct thorough analysis, and present findings concisely.
• - Excellent time management, and the ability to work independently are essential.
• - Relevant tertiary qualifications in legal or a business related discipline.
