The position will require you to be responsible for the general operation and effectiveness of the regional laboratories under your portfolio which includes QC, Microbiology , R&D labs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To plan and implement a professional staff structure to support the various department's/service's responsibilities.
Ensuring on-time and reliable support to the plant operations, R&D, Quality etc. for various activities needed that could be in new product launch, quality deviation investigation or scientific affairs requirements etc.
Ensure that all laboratories in-charge of are in accordance to the regulatory guidelines for the respective countries i.e. GMP, GLP, FDA guidelines where neccessary.
Supervise and manage all staff under the care, ensuring they are properly trained, with proper guidance provided where necessary.
To improve quality and safety of the laboratories, ensuring no hazard are expose or minimize within the environment.
Plan, implement procedures and policies to improve the general efficiency of the laboratory services.
Prepare budget, leave, asset verification and disposal for the laboratories.
Responsible for recruitment of laboratory staff, promotion and annual appraisal of staff.
License holder for the hospital NEA Hazardous Substance Permit and Petroleum and Flammable materials storage.
Act as the representative for Global QA meetings and other initiatives or harmonisation projects.
Be involved in process improvement to continually improve the capabilities of the company.

REQUIREMENTS

A University Science Degree / Post Graduate Degree in relevant subjects with relevant experience or higher qualification is preferred.
Preferably with 3-10 years’ experience of running a laboratory.
Leadership qualities, good interpersonal management, computer literacy and writing skills.
