About the Opportunity

Our Client is seeking an experienced Supervisor or Manager - Business Services & Tax to join their growing team.

Reporting to a Director, you will play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering strategic business advice, and leading a team of accountants. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to further develop their leadership capability while working closely with clients to deliver high-quality accounting, taxation, and advisory solutions.

Based in modern Newcastle CBD offices, you will be part of a collaborative and high-performing team that values innovation, excellence, and client success.

Key Responsibilities Reporting to a Director, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of business clients across a variety of industries
  • Provide accounting, taxation, and business advisory services
  • Review financial statements, tax returns, and compliance work
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships
  • Assist Directors with client advisory matters and business development initiatives
  • Drive quality outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
About You
  • You are an experienced public practice accountant who enjoys partnering with clients, solving complex business challenges, and developing high-performing teams.
  • With strong technical expertise and leadership capability, you are confident managing client relationships and delivering exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications
  • CA or CPA qualified (essential)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent

Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within Business Services & Tax
  • Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
  • Experience managing client relationships and advising business owners
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or team management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive approach with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
