Job Purpose Summary:
My client is a very established and leading electronic trading platform for a variety of fixed income securities and derivatives in the US, European and Asian markets. We are seeking to augment the Client Integration (CI) and Production Support (PS) groups. The primary responsibility of the CI group is to work with IT personnel at broker-dealers and institutional clients to help them integrate their front-office, mid-office and back-office technology systems to their Fixed Income trading system via Application Programming Interfaces (API). The primary focus for the PS group is to support and monitor their systems. The job will be dual focussed across both groups.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
 
This role is responsible for:

• Working with new and existing institutional clients and broker-dealers with the implementation/integration of my client and TRAX-provided APIs for various STP features.
• Support API integration for various fixed income products - US Investment Grade, Emerging Markets, High Yield, US Agencies, Asset Backed Securities and Credit Default Swaps.
• Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation, aimed at external IT audience.
• Work with business analysts, quality assurance teams and developers to design and implement features with client requirements/needs in mind
• Work with client services, production support and development teams for speedy resolution of any issues in the test and production environments.
• Continue to build and foster relationships with dealer and client IT teams, engaging them in the design and development of new products/features/services etc.
• Occasionally, build tools and test harnesses to support the ongoing integration of clients and dealers with their system. 

General Support Responsibilities Include:

• Provide cover to the Live and Test trading systems, ensuring smooth running of trading system servers and services
• Form part of the Global support roster to assist in our follow the sun model. Participate in weekend support rosters
• Provide technical support to the external Dealer and Client users of their GUI application and other MA products
• Provide 2nd line support services for client services and account management teams
• Support external users of the API interfaces
• Provide networking and connectivity support
• Monitoring system servers and ensuring appropriate monitoring is in place
• Raise and track issues through the use of the Jira ticketing mechanism
• Answer the Production Support hotline in a professional manner

Person Specification
 
Knowledge/Experience

• Someone with industry experience in an integration, trade support, development and/or business analyst role, vendor environment or production support space are a MUST.
• Preferably with at least 6 years of experience in the same requirements.
• Understanding of Fixed Income products, order and trade flow and Ecommerce platforms would be beneficial
• Experience and thought leadership in certification is highly desirable. Specifically, automation of certification procedures and installing self-service tools in order to produce operational efficiencies.
• FIX protocol experience a must.
• Experience with XML (DTD, schemas), TCP/IP & networking fundamentals.
• Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system including user commands, scripting etc.
• RDBMS skills (SQL Server and/or Oracle) – ability to read, write and run SQL scripts
• Ability to resolve problems and incidents across multiple technology areas
• Knowledge of batch scheduling and monitoring software i.e. Control-M & Geneos would be beneficial
