This Government agency is seeking an experienced Records Officer to assist with their records management function using Objective. This is intially offered as a 3 month position with an option to be extendded.

You will be responsible for

Promote and communicate good records management practice across the business
Undertake tasks as directed that contribute to records management
Ensure that the Records Management System access protocols are understood, applied and maintained
Ensure existing electronic document and records management procedures and guidelines are continuously reviewed and updated.
Assist with the management of hard-copy filing system, archiving, retention and disposal processes.

Required skills

Experience in the maintenance of records management systems and procedures
Knowledge of records management principles including filing systems, naming conventions
Experience in the maintenance of electronic records and document management systems (Objective)
Well-developed analytical skills and a strong attention to detail
Prior Government experience - highly regarded
