The Organisation & The Role

This role sits with a well established CIB team at an international corporate bank with progressive footprints. Working as an integral part of the Project Finance Team, the role will support with developing project finance businesses and managing all aspects of transactions, including origination of new opportunities as well as on-going portfolio management.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and gather market information on target industries, authorities and regulations, project finance
  • Review potential opportunities and prepare transaction bidding proposals, including term sheet drafting and pitch book preparation
  • Provide structuring inputs for new projects through thorough credit analysis and financial modelling
  • Prepare memos with recommendations on commercial/credit decisions as part of day to day work
  • Operate financial model, prepare credit paper and handle internal credit approval
  • Review and negotiation of finance documentation with the ability to close live transactions
  • Conduct periodic reviews of transactions and monitor credit risks
  • Build and maintain key relationships across both internal and external stake holders

Required Credentials
  • 3-5 years of experience in Australian project finance, institutional lending, advisory or principal investment experiences with a commercial bank or fund or a debt advisory firm
  • Have hands-on experience with financial modelling
  • Tertiary qualified with a Business, Finance or Science degree
  • Be comfortable working with clients and managing junior analysts, depending on the level of experience and role
  • Have excellent attention to detail, communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ideally you have a network of project finance space with exposure to the energy, natural resources or infrastructure sectors.
