We are currently recruiting for an experience Finance Analyst to join one of NSWs largest and most innovative government departments on a 12 month month rolling contract. This position will support the group IT function in relation to the management of their $500m OPEX budget.


Duties

  • Support the development of budgets for the division and branch.
  • Consolidate financial and related performance information to prepare comprehensive and consolidated reporting against budgets and forecasts.
  • Interrogate, analyse and evaluate financial management and performance to identify risks and issues. 
  • Analyse and report on financial performance, including operational impacts on budgets and forecasts, to develop and continually improve KPIs and to provide insight into financial management and performance for the division and branch.
  • Ensure financial processes and reporting is consistent with the broader Group Finance and Investment frameworks

Experience

  • CA, CPA qualified or equivalent
  • Previous experience managing a large OPEX budget (preferably in IT)
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
