System Administrator – Multiple Positions level 3 (TSPV)

Reference: V-39302

The System Administrator is required to provide system administrative support under general direction in a key capability domain responsible for the production and sustainment of digital signals processing and embedded platforms.

Skills and Knowledge:

Automation tools such as Ansible/Puppet, Packer, Kickstart
Network administration – experience configuring routers, switches, DHCP servers.
Containerisation familiarity
Familiarity of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

Major Responsibilities:

Install and configure ICT infrastructure (physical and cloud managed) – this includes servers and/or network devices.
Improve and maintain reliability of ICT infrastructure – this includes configuration automation, upgrading and patching, monitoring, along with utilising version control systems.
Transitioning systems and services to corporately managed cloud infrastructure.
Fault finding and troubleshooting ICT infrastructure in relation to items 1 – 3 of Major Responsibilities.

Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. Contract terms between 12 and 24 months will be considered.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 3.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
