Summary
The part-time Portuguese Editor is responsible for editing/localizing Portuguese translations of WGSN's fashion and lifestyle content, ensuring the spirit and intent of the original English writings are accurately localized with a natural flow. This role will also be responsible for keeping WGSN's Portuguese site refreshing and up-to-date on a daily basis as may required.

Key Responsabilities
● Edit/localize Portuguese translations of WGSN's fashion and lifestyle content, ensuring the spirit and intent of the original English writings are accurately localized with a natural flow; make certain that all Portuguese translations are grammatically accurate, free from spelling errors and contain correct terminologies on a consistent basis
● Consistently deliver high-quality localize Portuguese content by the deadlines arranged by the department's managers
● Update and curate Portuguese website content and publishing newsletters on a daily basis to increase client engagement
● Handle localization requests from WGSN's other departments as may be required
● Effectively communicate and collaborate with different departments to finalize the look and feel of Portuguese translations as appeared on the design layouts and site
● Support Portuguese site maintenance regularly: coordinate with the Tech team to make sure that all features, directories, tools are up-to-date

Required Background & Skills
● Must be fully bilingual Portuguese-English with exceptional command in Portuguese reading, writing and editing
● Outstanding English comprehension and communications skills
● Proficient in researching for the most relevant localization terminologies according to the context
● Translate, edit and localize from English to Portuguese and vice versa in good speed
● Produce high-quality localization content under tight deadlines
● Passionate about languages, cultures & fashion; enjoy working in a multicultural environment
● Prior English to Portuguese localization experience in fashion, marketing or advertising strongly preferred
● Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Localization, Journalism or Communications required
● A fast learner and great multi-tasker
● Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as working with a team
● Usage proficiency in Apple computer and Google tools. Knowledge or experience in Fashion is a plus
