Apply: Senior Business Analyst - Institutional Banking - Murex

Our client is a leading Institutional Bank and employer of choice offering outstanding work life balance, agile working model and flexible working hours. They are currently going through a large capital and funding project and as such require a Senior Business Analyst with an accounting financial markets background to join the finance stream of the project. Reporting into the Project Manager you will focus on ensuring finance requirements are developed, documented and agreed to meet the business requirements of projects under the finance Program.

You will act as key liaison point between Finance, Program, business stakeholders, technology and Finance PM's and other key implementation groups to ensure that business needs are captured, understood and produce outcomes that meet the needs of both Finance and the business. You will work closely with PM and SME's on the project. 

Key deliverables will include:

• Elicit and document requirements for both interim and strategic solution using Murex Product system (processing and portfolio set up)
• Basic understanding of Interest Rate (IRS) swaps  - they can learn about FVA reading documents.
• Ability to quickly decipher internal terminology 
• Assist finance stakeholders to build and test a UDA (which will need to be robust for at least 12 months) Phase 1
• Work with Architects to produce Oracle accounting entries on a daily basis for Phase 2

Required skills and experience:

• Degree in Finance/Accounting (required)
• CA or CPA qualifications (desirable)
• Experience with Murex implementations, upgrades (preferred)
• Knowledge of financial instruments such as interest rate swaps (and accounting treatment of them)
• Minimum 3-5 years work experience in a Senior Business Analyst role working within medium to large projects (within IB)
• Prior experience in finance / accounting functions with exposure to Financial, Management and process change.
• Experience developing UAT test scenarios and execution
