The Organisation:
 
Our client is a developer of edge-cutting software for the superannuation sector, and they're revolutionising a multi-trillion-dollar industry in the process. Their APRA-compliant, fully-cloud-based, super fund administration platform is an industry first, and they are looking for an experienced and driven Risk and Compliance Manager to provide subject matter expertise and ensure that governance structures are in place and operating effectively within a strong risk and compliance culture.


The Role:

As part of a small Risk and Compliance team, you will work hand in hand with the Head of Risk and Compliance, developing policies, rolling out new frameworks and continuously working on uplifting our risk culture and capability base. Your key accountabilities include:
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of frameworks and policies encompassing risk, compliance, supplier management, privacy etc.
  • Perform 2nd LoD risk reviews and development of risk profiles 
  • Analyse data and identify trends and potential gaps in the control environment
  • Provide risk, controls and compliance advice
  • Assist with risk committee and board reporting
  • Run risk-related forums
  • Ad hoc project and regulatory reporting duties

What experience are we looking for?
  • 5+ years of experience working in a similar risk and/or compliance management role
  • Practical knowledge of Superannuation industry, products, platforms, processes and applicable compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast paced, agile commercial environment with a fluid mind
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to formulate and articulate risk & compliance advice independently
  • Any prior hands-on business improvement experience is desirable
  • Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders across all levels (including C-Level personnel)
