We’re partnering with a leading government department to recruit a Senior Child-Safety Investigator to join a dynamic team focused on upholding child safety and integrity in public workplaces. This critical role involves managing complex investigations related to complaints, staff misconduct, and the Reportable Conduct Scheme, contributing to safer environments for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and conduct investigations into misconduct and reportable conduct matters in early childhood and educational settings
  • Provide expert procedural advice and guidance to principals and decision-makers handling complaints
  • Contribute to system improvements that strengthen child safety culture and response
  • Build and maintain trusted stakeholder relationships across government and education sectors
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based reports, briefs and recommendations aligned with legislation and public sector values
About You You are a highly analytical and principled professional with:
  • Demonstrated experience in investigations, regulatory compliance or a similar field
  • Strong understanding of the Reportable Conduct Scheme and child safety frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to balance procedural fairness with a child-centred approach
  • A relevant qualification in law, justice, investigations or a related discipline (desirable)

  • Working With Children Check (required)
  • Relevant public sector or regulatory experience preferred
