Apply: Enterprise Release Manager | Long-term Contract

Our client is a high-profile organisation delivering essential services to the State's community, with a focus on improving customer experience. Due to continued investment and uplift of their technology and services, this NSW State Government Dept are now looking to engage an Enterprise Release Manager / Environment Manager to support these ongoing activities and improve processes, as well as drive the implementation and adoption of a new Release Management tool.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage all aspects of the end-to-end release delivery.
  • Engage with the key business and technology stakeholders to improve processes and coordinate releases.
  • Take ownership of the delivery and adoption of a new Release Management tool.
  • Manage and own the release calendar and environment utilisation plans to meet the demands of the delivery and servicing of projects in development.
  • Manage the test environment configuration, setup, deployment, maintenance and test execution support activities required to provide a stable test platform.
  • Manage code deployments via the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery framework and toolsets
  • Manage the release of change into the test environments across multiple in flight projects and releases in accordance with the Change Management processes

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in the following:
  • Strong understanding of complex business operating environments and experience in management of release processes across an enterprise organisation.
  • Extensive experience in release and environment management at the enterprise level.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships and coordinate work between multiple vendors and teams.
  • Proven operational and project release and environment management experience in cloud based computing environments.
  • Proven experience managing and delivering services in complex, fast paced environments where ambiguity or contention in support requirements is often present
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and strategic thinking capability.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and an ability to build effective relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a variety of competing tasks
  • Extensive Change Management experience and running CAB
  • ITIL certified or experience working in ITIL environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication and negotiation skills gained in a large business environment
  • Problem solver and ability to perform root cause analysis
