Opportunity to join a blue chip Australian financial services organisation in the beginning stages of a project tasked with implementing a data warehouse and establishing a centralised data and reporting solution across the Group.
This initiative will enable the creation of a holistic, trusted, accessible and available data management and reporting solution which will ensure the group can monitor and manage the quality of their data as well as develop advanced reporting capabilities to support business critical purposes such as regulatory reporting, trustee reporting, as well as management and operational reporting.
 
Your Role
The Senior Data Analyst is a lead role within the program with the responsibility to drive the collection of data and reporting requirements and then work with the delivery teams to ensure the required business outcomes are achieved. We are looking for someone with strong experience in Data Warehousing projects with good business acumen and strong communication and leadership skills.
The role is a key liaison point between business stakeholders, program team and the technology teams to ensure that the business needs are captured, understood and produce the agreed outcomes.  The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with the other Business Analysts, Testing Team, and developers across the Strategic Data Management and Reporting Program. 
 
Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience in delivering data warehouse projects and solutions
• Technical expertise in data analysis to efficiently query data, identify issues, and propose effective solutions
• Experience in implementing data governance practices within business/operational teams
• Experience in Financial services / Insurance (desired)
• Experience in utilising data analysis toolsets such as Alteryx, Dataiku, Tableau etc.
• Experience developing UAT test scenarios and execution
• Strong analytical, organisational and time management skills
• Solid skills in negotiation, paired with an ability to develop trust, confidence and consensus.
• Exposure to Agile project delivery and tools would be helpful.
• The ability to work in a consultative manner and across multiple deliverables at once.
