Our client is one of Australia's leading banking and insurance groups and an employer of choice.  Due to a number of new transformation projects impacting finance they have an opportunity for an experienced project manager with a finance background to manage the finance streams of these projects. 

Specific deliverables will include:
  • End to end management of the project in accordance with Project Governance and Methodologies, Project Competencies and Change management Framework.
  • Establish and manage effective project operations to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Control, manage and report issues, risks, dependencies and changes in scope.
  • Prepare project budget and stage gate approvals
  • Track and report project financials in line with the program
  • Develop and manage engagement with all appropriate teams as required
  • Lead, develop and coach teams to meet project deliverables
  • Apply and adhere to the groups methodologies, tools and standards.
This will initially be a 12 month contract but with plenty of scope to go beyond that.  

Required skills and experience:
  • Experienced Project Manager
  • CA/CPA qualified (preferred) or with a strong track record in finance transformation and finance projects
  • Strong banking or insurance experience
  • Ability to start within 2-3 weeks from offer
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills
