Apply: Senior FP&A Analyst, Insurance

Our client is a leading Australian Insurance group and employer of choice. They are one of the largest insurers in the market and are very much in a growth phase. Furthermore, they provide a diverse and flexible working culture, Agile working environment and ability to work from home one day a week.

They have an urgent requirment for a senior FP&A candidate who can start quickly on an initial 12 month contract. Reporting into the Head of FP&A this is a critical role in the analysis of Group/Divisional financial performance, forecasting, planning, target setting, and monitoring of productivity targets. The role aids in the provision of financial analysis and support to the business to assist in decision making, driving business productivity, performance management, has significant exposure to the business and involves building solid relationships. There is significant scope in the role to design and develop tools and analytics in performance management for best practice purposes. Speific deliverables will include:

• Providing accurate, effective financial management reporting
• Providing high quality financial analysis to support commercially astute decision making for initiatives
• Analysing business performance and key business drivers to identify issues and emerging trends
• Working with the team to ensure divisional planning, forecasting and target setting is best practice
• Analysing & reviewing allocation of resources and performance metrics including benchmarking
• Making recommendations on financial impacts (costs and benefits)
• Developing reporting analysis including identification of opportunities within the Group/Division, and areas of further improvement 
• Working with the team to contribute and develop productivity initiatives and best practice cost management approach through the Group/Division

This is a great opportunity to join one of the largest inurance companies in the Australian market who are currently going through an exciting growth phase. Although initially a 12 month contract it has strong possibility of rolling for longer or becoming permanent.

Required skills and experience:

• Qualified CA/CPA/CIMA 
• 4 years + experience within financial analysis, FP&A, management accounting, business partnering role within large complex financial services environment (insurance/wealth management preferred)
• Strong knowledge of management reporting systems and strong Excel modelling experience
• Prior experience within Big 4 / Chartered environment advantageous although not essential
• Ability to start within two weeks of receiveing an offer
