Senior Actuarial Data Analyst / Data Actuary – Regulatory Analytics – Life Insurance
 
Program of Work:
The Regulatory analytics team is responsible to effectively manage the quality and availability of insurance data across the business with a key focus on data required for regulatory reporting. The team is also responsible for the end-to-end production of regular and ad-hoc regulatory notices.
 
The teams guiding principles are accountability to produce accurate and timely regulatory reports, and to ensure the business is setup to effectively manage data as a strategic enterprise asset. This role provides technical and strategic insights internally and within the regulatory board (APRA).
 

The Role:
  • Assimilate, aggregate and analyse complex information from disparate sources and effectively communicate to key stakeholders (internally and externally)
  • Be one of the main point of contacts with the regulatory body in delivering technical information
  • Lead process automaton initiatives using Teredata.
  • Lead the data quality management process and assist with root cause analysis
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners to ensure customers are at top priority

    Skill Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in data teams / actuarial teams with a heavy data focus
  • Preference within life insurance, banking and financial services
  • Experience working with large data sets with proficiency using Teradata and SQL server
  • Exposure to Tableau and other visualisation tools
  • Ability to operate within an agile and adaptable mentality and wouldn't hesitate to contribute across multiple programs / projects.
