About the role:

Based in our South Melbourne Head Office & reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager. As a Merchandise Planner you will be responsible for the development and growth of your category. Partnering with the buying and inventory teams, you will ensure the success of your category through strong financial analysis and decision making.In this role, you will:

• Drive financial KPIs - forecasts sales, profit, purchases and inventory in line with trends and planned business activity
• Develop and deliver plans within the category team to achieve financial KPIs
• Maximises Stockturn and GMROI
• Minimise the financial risk through effective merchandise planning
• Develop Seasonal OTB Buy Plans through Assortment Planning process

• Conducts and provides analysis to influence decision making with strategically planning ranges

• Manage planning tools and reporting to thoroughly analyse and advise on category performance

To be successful in this role you must have:

This role requires someone with previous merchandise planning experience who is willing to think outside of the box and use their initiative to make their mark on this exciting role.

• Experience in Merchandise Planning – OTB Management, Assortment Planning, Allocation and Replenishment processes and Supply Chain.
• Ability to influence others to ensure financial performance and inventory optimisation.
• Comprehensive technical skills and knowledge of Planning Principles
• Strong communication, planning & organisational skills.
• Ability to implement business strategy and change.
• Adaptability to work in a diverse and fast paced environment.
• A passion for their team and customers.
• Ability to be flexible to meet changing work priorities.
• Ability to work autonomously but also as part of a wider category team to share category management.
