The Company:
Our client is recognized as one of the premier investment management firms globally, with a significant presence in the APAC region. The firm has a reputation for delivering innovative and client-centric investment solutions. In response to their expanding operations, they are seeking a mid to senior-level Funds Lawyer to join their regional legal team located in Hong Kong.
 
In your new role, you will: 

• Draft and review legal documents to ensure compliance with regional regulatory standards
• Collaborate with stakeholders on fund establishment and special projects
• Lead negotiations of investment management and distribution agreements across the APAC region
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on regulatory developments impacting asset management
• Monitor and advise on legislative and regulatory changes to ensure alignment with industry best practices

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer in HK or other common law jurisdiction with 5-10 years’ PQE, preferably from a top-tier international law firm or renowned buy side firm
• Fluency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken) for internal & external communications and engagement
• In-depth knowledge of APAC asset management legal frameworks, with expertise in negotiating investment and distribution agreements
• Experience with establishing cross-border funds is highly desirable
