The Company
We are representing a global financial services organisation with growing operations and market presence in Australia.  With a smaller headcount currently in Australia, this role is a newly created HR Business Partner role supporting leaders locally and taking carriage of all HR initiatives and strategies for the Australia business.  The role will also see you play a key role in partnering with a global business unit, with ties back to the New York head office.
 
The Role
Reporting to the APAC HR Director, your role will see you have full coverage of HR strategy and operational delivery for the growing Australian operations.  You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, engagement and retention strategies are aligned for the local business, whilst also drive global initiatives at a local level.  You will form part of a collaborative, highly consultative and high performing HR Business Partnering function.
 
The Individual
Day to day this role will see you flex between the operational and strategic, ensuring local leaders and business requirements are supported, whilst also driving consistency and alignment with the global people agenda.With experience as part of a global or APAC HR function, you will have spent time in a high performing professional or financial services orgnaisation and be comfortable working within a smaller sized local business.
 
Unique considerations
This is a newly created role with a well recognised market leading institution.  You will join a high performing global HR team and play a critical role with local leaders, supporting the Australia business growth and people agenda.  This role will see you flex as the HRBP for local operations (sub 100 staff),  as well as contribute to a global business unit.  Work with the US headquartered business will be required outside of core business hours.
Due to the nature of this business and the need to build relationships, this role will require office presence four days / week in Sydney CBD
