Our client is seeking to engage an APS6 Secretariat to join a on a contract best up until the 30/06/2024.

The role:
The Secretariat will be responsible for organising meetings, assisting with composing briefs, distributing minutes and general administrative duties as directed.

Key Deliverables:
  • Taking and distributing minutes
  • Organising meetings and agendas
  • Working on briefs to the executive
  • Managing communications and enquiries
  • Build constructive relationships across the department.

  • Written and verbal communication – highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present messages and positions clearly, influentially, and in a manner tailored to the audience.
  • Resilient and the ability to work in an extremely dynamic, fast-paced and fluid environment with the flexibility to work outside of core hours if needed.
  • Collaboration – excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with a track record of leveraging these skills to drive success for their work areas through the establishment of productive internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Analysis – proven ability to effectively use information and data to identify and analyse complex issues and develop sound options and approaches.
  • Planning and organising – proven ability to balance a range of tasks of varying priority and meet competing deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.
Eligibility and other requirements:
  • Citizenship - To be eligible for employment with the Department of you must be an Australian citizen.
  • Security Clearance - This position requires a Baseline security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
