About the business:
A major general insurer with a strong presence in Australia. The group business has been quite successful and are therefore looking for Senior Actuarial Analysts and Actuaries to join the team. The business values work life balance while also providing a supportive culture for budding actuaries to grow and develop their technical skillset. 

Responsibilities:
  • Recommend pricing strategies using technical models build by the technical pricing team
  • Use and build best-practice pricing capabilities and working with the broader pricing team
  • Devleop pricing governance and risk management frameworks ensuring it is in alignment with Pricing Principles
  • Coach an develop junior Actuarial Analysts within the Pricing team
  • Provide sound decisions and recommendations that considers profits and level of risk
  • Work closely with underwriters, claims and product teams

About yourself?
  • 2+ years of exposure to the general insurance industry preferably within actuarial 
  • Exposure using SAS, SQL and machine learning techniques is preferred
  • Working towards the Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries Australia
  • Strong work ethic and curious nature
