We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and oversee technical teams with Global Bank. This role entails driving innovation, ensuring efficient project delivery, and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve the bank's technology objectives.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with a distributed IT team to participate in new developments and deliver business initiatives.
Support existing applications in an ever-changing and agile development culture.
Handle demanding clients and aggressive schedules in a highly dynamic environment.
Focus on primary asset classes: FX Options and FX
Build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software in compliance with the bank's coding standards and technical design.
Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
Write well-designed, testable code.
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
Ensure software is updated with the latest features.
Perform performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, and automation.

Requirements:

5+ years of commercial experience in software development using core Java.
2+ years of hands-on experience in writing multi-threaded / concurrent applications.
Proficiency in code analysis, performance tuning, and profiling of real-time, high-performance, low-latency systems.
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
Experience with resolving memory management / garbage collection issues is a plus.
Experience using continuous integration tools like TeamCity / Junit /JMock, Maven, JIRA, or any other set of tools is a plus.
Proficient knowledge of Unix scripting, databases, and network protocols.
Experience with financial market data messaging standards (e.g., FIX) is highly desirable.
Swing/GUI experience is desirable, but not required.
Knowledge of financial tick database technology (e.g., kdb+) is desirable.
Understanding of IT security best practices.
Familiarity with eFX trading processes and technical architectures in this domain is desirable.
