AVP/VP – Environmental Market Specialist (Carbon Credits)

Leading corporate firm in Singapore, permanent headcount
6-10 years of relevant experience – Marketing sector focus: Energy, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), Sustainability, Carbon Credits
Estimated salary range – SGD100-130k++ annum base + VB on top

Roles & Responsibilities

Growing the firm’s digital REC transaction platform, providing expert advise in the field of RECs and other renewable energy / carbon related matters, which encompasses market insights, regional trends, solar investments as well as PPAs.
Develop opportunities in carbon credits and renewable energy certificate markets in Singapore and regionally, to help corporate customers achieve sustainable development goals and lower carbon footprint through different environmental attribute products.
Drive maximum environmental impact through commercial solutions.
Lead carbon markets expertise by building market and technical solutions
Provide guidance on and technical leadership in the development of proposals on topics of corporate climate strategies, GHG accounting services and climate change mitigation solutions
Provide high-quality consultancy advice to clients by understanding their environmental sustainability goals, analyse and structure creative and technical solutions and recommending bespoke environmental solutions in a timely manner
Navigate and build the climate solutions ecosystem with developers, buyers, NGOs and government officials
Monitor developments with respect to climate change issues, perform market research and analysis, and track international compliance and country specific regulatory developments
Assist in the development of new and innovative carbon products and services including market research and business case development

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably sustainability related field
6-10 years of relevant experience eg. competing energy firms, environmental or energy consultancy, project or product development
Excellent knowledge of environmental certificates trading/ carbon credits with experience in the energy and renewables industry
Familiarity with sustainability topics
Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
Results-driven and strong entrepreneurial mindset
