This agency is known for having a great culture across different teams and have excellent office locations.  A great opportunity for a Senior HR Policy and Workplace Relations to join this busy team on a short-term assignment.

About the role:
 
  • Researching, interpreting, and applying conditions contained in the Agency enterprise agreement, policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Supporting the implementation of business process improvement.
  • Developing, reviewing and updating employment related policies, procedures and delegations.
  • Provide clear and accurate advice, developing manager capability and organisational understanding of employee relations and performance policies, practices and procedures.
  • Establishing networks and maintaining relationships, at all levels across the Agency and across the broader APS HR networks.
  • Supporting, coordinating, and contributing to the effective design and delivery of HR projects.

You will have:
 
  • Solid HR experience, especially when it comes to workplace conditions in an APS environment
  • A good understanding of HR laws and regulations in the APS, including the Public Service Act and Enterprise Agreements
  • The ability to write and develop HR policies and processes, even when working fairly independently
  • Experience helping to put new or updated policies into practice
  • Confidence working with different stakeholders and subject matter experts to review and refine content
  • Experience reviewing existing policies to see what’s working and what could be improved
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clearly for different audiences — whether it’s an intranet article or a message for a specific team
  • The ability to give clear, practical advice on workplace conditions and policy questions

Benefits:
  • DEC start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
  • 6 Months assignment with possibility to be extended
  • Full time hours Monday to Friday

  • $60.26 hourly + Super
