A well-backed Commodities Trading company is looking for a Chief Risk Officer to be based in Singapore to provide strategic direction for the organisation from a risk perspective. To succeed in this role, you need to have sound knowledge of Operational Risk and Market Risk within a Commodities Trading set-up. You would also need to have an innovative mindset and willingness to take on a hands-on approach with a positive problem-solving mindset.
 
Main Responsibilities:

• Setting up the Risk Management framework within the organisation and ensuring alignment to regulatory requirements
• Monitoring and assessing the risk of commodities trading activities across varied products
• Providing market price curves and assessing market risk exposure
• Supporting the trading team on trading strategies
• Providing advisory to the management team on operational risk matters

 
You will have:

• 10 to 12 years of experience in a physical commodities trading environment
• Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English
• Prior regional experience
• Strong track record in operational and market risk
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
