Role Summary:

We are looking to fill these critical business-facing roles in the 2nd LoD, to provide compliance support, advice and sign-off to Consumer Bank distribution businesses. The roles suit confident but patient compliance (or legal) professionals who can thrive in a busy and dynamic environment, consistently adding value to a group of creative stakeholders.


Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive and reliable compliance advice regarding advertising retail banking products, with a focus on the digital & creative campaigns
  • Review marketing materials (such as posters, banners, scripts etc.) in both physical and digital forms and sign off high volume marketing creatives and assets adhering to Group Strategy & RG 234
  • Perform compliance assessments to identify immediate and emerging risks and develop a framework for incidents management and on-going monitoring
  • Promote a rigorous, forward-thinking and practical approach to the Group's Digital & Marketing Compliance Framework in line with regulatory changes
  • Run workshops and compliance training to share learnings and best practice to both the Business and the Risk & Compliance teams
  • Effectively partner up with the 1st LoD risk and compliance to support upcoming business agenda
  • Lead the implementation of an effective compliance framework and operating model within Consumer Bank Compliance, contributing to the team credibility

Skill Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of recent compliance or legal experience, preferably in Consumer Banking or Business Banking
  • Degree qualified in Business, Finance, Marketing or Legal
  • Pragmatic operator who can thrive in a highly dynamic commercial environment and to get their hands dirty
  • Can think on your feet in the best interest for the business yet whilst remaining a strong compliance mindset
  • Strong project management and stakeholder influencing skills, and do not shy away from engaging the business face-to-face
  • Knowledge of RG 234 is highly desirable; NCCP, AFSL, Corporations Act, BCoP, and Privacy etc. are desirable
