A highly regarded financial institution is seeking a Manager- Conduct Risk to drive best-practice risk management and compliance across its mortgage broker and third-party distribution channels. This role is critical in ensuring robust governance, enhancing conduct frameworks, and uplifting risk management practices in a rapidly evolving regulatory and competitive landscape.

The Role
In this leadership position, you will:
  • Lead the risk governance and compliance agenda across third-party distribution channels, including mortgage brokers and external lending partners.
  • Strengthen control frameworks and drive continuous improvements in conduct, compliance, and risk culture.
  • Identify and mitigate emerging risks specific to home lending and third-party distribution networks.
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory changes and industry developments affecting mortgage broker channels.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to manage business incidents, resolve issues, and drive risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee broker accreditation and governance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and implement enhanced control measures to uplift risk and conduct across external distribution partnerships.

About You
We are looking for a proactive risk leader with:
  • Extensive experience in risk, compliance, and governance within home lending and third-party distribution channels.
  • Strong expertise in mortgage broker network oversight and external lending partner risk management.
  • A proven track record in uplifting conduct, compliance, and risk frameworks within home lending.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across multiple business areas.
  • Experience in managing risk incidents, control frameworks, and regulatory obligations in a mortgage lending environment.
  • A deep understanding of industry regulations, accreditation requirements, and best-practice risk management strategies for third-party distribution networks.
