About the Role

An exciting new opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Corporate Finance Analyst to join a blue chip ASX listed business based in the CBD. You will join a high performing and experienced team, in a period of transformation and growth across the business which will provide exposure to broad projects and senior stakeholders in a highly commercial strategic role working closely with senior stakeholders.


Your key responsibilities will be

  • Engage and work closely with the Head of Group Planning & Analysis and, where appropriate, GM Corporate Finance to achieve the strategic priorities of the Business Unit
  • Prepare or review financial models used to analyse industry trends and make key business decisions
  • Review and refine externally developed financial models
  • Maintain and continually refine long term Corporate Model including key assumptions
  • Work with the Group FP&A team to review Budget and Forecast assumptions presented by business units, including commercial assumptions
  • Derive and report on key financial reporting measures at an asset or enterprise level associated with performance, investment return and sources of financing
  • Provide insights to project teams supported by robust financial analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for the Head of Group Planning & Analysis and GM Corporate Finance

About You

  • Experience in the modelling division of a Big 4 or Accounting practice at a Managerial level
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies and key financial metrics
  • Ability to test and challenge assumptions and incorporate scenario testing into financial analysis
  • High level of numeracy and commercial awareness
  • Able to understand, build and navigate through complex financial models
  • Credibility and confidence to interact effectively with a wide range of people inside
