Apply: Financial Accountant - External Reporting (Fixed term contract)

Ethos BeathChapman have partnered with a major ASX listed banking and financial services group and have been engaged to assist with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant to assist with key external reporting deliverables, as well as help drive key initiatives focused on improvements to the half year and year end reporting processes.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen within the external reporting team for an energetic and high performing Financial Accountant. This role will offer you fantastic exposure to the business and key responsibilities will include:

• Liaise with business units, group finance and group risk departments, to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements;
• Review and preparation of all regulatory / statutory reporting requirements;
• Month and quarter end reporting (completion of various returns APRA, RBA, ABS)
• Provide technical accounting advice to the business where required;
• Help drive key finance process improvement initiatives at a group level;

The successful candidate will be confident, articulate and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Your background and experience will include:

• CA/CPA qualified (or nearing completion) with 2 - 4 years experience
  Experience ideally gained in a Big 4 or 2nd tier CA firm (looking for your 1st move into industry) or,
• Financial Services or banking industry background with regulatory / statutory reporting experience (highly regarded)
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding time management skills are a must;
