Business Objectives of role:
Big Storage project is seeking a experienced Information and Data Management Business Analyst who will be responsible for End to End analysis, perform feasibility study and discovery of the core data and infrastructure needs that will be required to establish an innovative scalable enterprise storage platform

Role Context and Description:
Business Analyst is required to identify current Data storage processes across DFSI. Will do a feasibility study of existing storage of Data in multiple formats and develop a plan to identify a future process for an innovative scalable Data Storage platform. Will then be able to propose a solution based on both current findings and to align with future Data Storage trends.

Role Deliverables:
Manage complex requirements with clients to identify and analyse Data storage across DFSI. Analyse existing business processes and functions to identify Data storage inefficiencies and/or non-compliance.
The role represents an outstanding opportunity to provide subject matter expertise and assist in the development of big storage solution proposals that are aligned to industry standards in capturing, migrating and management of the data to a big storage platform.

Essential Skills

- High end skills and deep knowledge in information and data management.

- Development of comprehensive business specifications that include data analysis, assessing infrastructure requirements, discovery of department’s core data.

- Excellent business analysis capability with technical know-how of establishing a big storage platform and management of the data.

- Hands on experience in running scrum meetings and delivery oriented stand ups.

- Knowledge of changing industry trends in big storage platforms.

- Good technical understanding in infrastructure requirements for big storage platforms.

- Knowledge in and an ability to provide advice in the development of data storage solutions and road map to implement.

- Ability to achieve successful outcomes through collaboration and cooperation

- Extensive experience in preparing and editing high quality written material including complex reports, correspondence, briefings, papers and proposals.

- Ability to be a ‘self-starter’ by quickly developing an understanding of the project, its environment and any related issues

 
Preferred skills

 
- Experience in working with multiple data storage systems such as Commvault.

- Experience in business analysis in a data storage and/or backup refresh project.

- Understanding of business intelligence applications, augmented classification, improved metadata management.
