We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with a genuine passion for all things marketing, press, media and digital; with previous experience using Google Analytics, Google Adwords, social media and amplifying marketing partnerships with strong content coordination across multiple channels. Our new Marketing Associate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have an interest in Financial Technology, as well as strong copywriting skills and the ability to multi-task while maintaining strong attention to detail.
The Marketing Associate will have a primary responsibility of keeping track of media partner deliverables, the coordination and monitoring of media and press registrations, managing PPC and remarketing campaigns, support in Money20/20 copy writing, social media posts and monitoring, press list inquiries, onsite support for video and media zone.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will work closely to execute and optimize PPC and retargeting campaigns to promote Money20/20 US. You will be considered a ‘brand guardian’ and will be expected to learn the ins and outs of all things ‘Money20/20,’ acting as a point of contact for partners, journalists, photographers, videographers and printers.
This role is multifaceted in that there is a digital as well as press and partnership element to the role. You will be expected to deliver on all agreed partnership deliverables, pitch new press and media for the event, working with press software Cision to report on articles and announcements, collating onsite announcements, as well as supporting in the press room and media zones onsite.
A large part of this role will be keeping track of all our marketing activity and reporting successes and indicating where we can grow our digital reach.
Key responsibilities
Marketing Associate, Money20/20 US
• Support across full range of marketing activities including - delprom/com/spex emails, website updates, social media content creation, DM, brochures and additional collateral.
• Regularly write copy for different media (print, digital) that’s in line with the Money20/20 brand
• Work alongside Marketing Manager as brand guardian and serve as a point of contact with partners, printers, photographers, videographers, designers and other teams within Ascential & Money20/20 Global.
• Brief, distribute and measure marketing campaigns for Money20/20– email, social media, website
• Coordinate and collate on-site announcements through website and sponsor & speaker outreach
• Work with Marketing Manager to understand the product proposition and key messages, and develop key targeting strategies
• Work with Marketing Manager to support on press and media relationships and look after fulfilment of all press, media and strategic partnership agreements across event.
• Support press registration, onsite announcements and press list, registrations and post-event reporting and analysis
• Work with Marketing Manager to identify new and insightful co-marketing partners (comprising media, press, associations, membership bodies and financial analysts)
• Demonstrate value through partner success, using appropriate tools to report on coverage volume, perception ratings and customer feedback. Where possible, look to define how media partnerships have impacted customer perception, sales and business growth. Ensure that any market insight generated from partnerships is fed back to the wider teams
• Support social campaign strategy, delivering across all relevant channels
• Optimise PPC (including display) campaigns for Money20/20 identifying and refining keywords over course of campaign, identifying where search volumes show the biggest opportunities for results, and turning off activity and spend at the point of erosion
• Identify the opportunity for retargeting campaigns, behavioural and social media campaigns; set up, manage and optimise
• Analysing and reporting on campaigns and presenting findings/results
• Work with Marketing Manager and Web manager to maintain/update the Money20/20 website

• Volume and quality of co-marketing activity generated
• Number of bookings/attendees generated through co-marketing activity/data acquisition/outreach programmes
• Acquisition and conversion rates on PPC campaigns
Experience required
• 2-4 years’ experience in marketing, B2B or B2C
• Experience of setting up and managing PPC campaigns is essential
• Experience of setting up and managing display and social advertising is desirable
• Very good knowledge of Google Analytics is essential
• Experience working on a global brand, with knowledge of international markets desirable
• Recent experience working with marketing automation software and CRM systems desirable
• Marketing degree desirable
• Understanding of customer targeting and segmentation
• Experience using analytics and tracking tools to decipher marketing effectiveness
