VP- Director, Investments (TMT)

Reputable buyside firm, Singapore based, permanent headcount
Salary range: SGD150-250k annum base + VB on top *Commensurates with experience
Industry experience: TMT, VC, Unicorns, technology firms, start-ups, new economy etc is mandatory (network here is a huge plus)

Responsibilities would include:

Reporting directly to CEO in Singapore
Lead entire deal transactions from start-to-end, origination and execution of technology investments across the South East Asia region.
70% origination, 30% execution – Deal sourcing / business development / network here is highly preferred as main job scope is to bring in deals. There will be juniors under you, supporting the execution work.
Unicorns/ New economy deals; Series C/ D/ E to pre-IPO stage.
Good stakeholder management, internally and externally. Network, have good relationships and liaise with C-suites, founders of start-up firms, investment bankers, investors, industry professionals to generate investment opportunities for the business.
Financial analysis, modelling, valuation, due-diligence, structuring and execution where necessary
Evaluate key industry movements in the relevant industry space and emerging trends and distill relevant implications to the firm
Mentor and guide juniors where necessary

Profile of ideal candidate

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
MANDATORY requirement(s): 1) Industry experience in TMT / Unicorns/ VC / start-ups/ new economy as there is a need to originate deals here and 2) Singapore / South East Asia network.
10-20 years of relevant work experience roughly (Open to all, as long as it fits above mandatory points and budget)
Outstanding problem-solving abilities, judgment, and attention to detail
Strong written & verbal communication, can connect with people and build good relationships
Team player, family culture
Comfortable with working in small teams, hands on
EP can be sponsored where necessary, but candidate needs to have done deals/ have network in SEA
Strong work ethics and excellent attitude
