Responsibilities
  • Lead the investigation, diagnose, and resolution of performances for APIs and web services.
  • Complete the design, development and testing of components with the goal of providing reliable, stable and operationally sound applications, systems and infrastructure that meet business requirements and industry best practices
  • Lead the review of work and provide guidance, advice and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required
  • Lead and review the consistent use and application of tools, standards, methods and processes to ensure that quality applications are developed with consistent maintainable code which supports risk and compliance management
  • Specify interfaces and translate logical designs into physical designs taking account target environment, performance & security requirements and existing systems
  • Quick POC development for technical solution feasibility using prototyping tools where necessary
  • Employ CI/CD and DevOps practices and ensure maximum leverage of existing platform services.
To be successful
  • Knowledge on various emerging technologies including past experience in developing customer facing web application design to better serve our customer and business needs.
  • Extensive experience developing and enhancing enterprise Java application with a significant integration footprint
  • Significant Agile experience and experience leading an agile team
  • Excellent spoken and written communication
  • Strong problem solving / analytical skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of application performance and capacity concerns.
Technical Skills
Required:
  • At least 5 years of experiences in Java development with strong REST APIs and Web Services skills
  • Experiences in Hibernate and Spring framework 
  • Performance Tuning of Java web applications
  • Experiences in CI/CD and working in an agile environment
Good to have :
  • Exposure to Apache Kafka
  • Exposure to Node.JS, React.JS
  • Prior expeirences working on Payment or NPP projects will be an added advantage
