Apply: AI Protein Scientist

One of our clients who first entered Singapore back in 2023 is continuing to grow and expand across SEA and as such are looking for an AI Protein Scientist to join their team.
 
You will be the first hire of this nature in Singapore so will have to set everything up from scratch, there will be some support from the Global Head Office. The work will involve designing AI algorithm models from the ground up and then using this to support the efforts of the R&D team.
 
The AI Protein Scientist will be responsible for:

• Design and optimize AI algorithms for protein structure prediction, molecular dynamics simulation, and functional analysis; utilize AI tools for protein design, variant screening, and optimization to improve stability and process feasibility.
• Build and analyze high-quality protein datasets, validate AI predictions through lab collaboration, and optimize experimental workflows to enhance AI and lab synergy.
• Prepare technical plans, reports, patents, and stay updated on cutting-edge AI and bioinformatics technologies to propose innovative solutions and support the team.

 
The AI Protein Scientist will be / have:

• Doctorate Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
• Strong knowledge of protein structure and function, bioinformatics, machine learning and deep learning
• Proficiency in molecular dynamics simulations, statistical analysis, and programming (Python or R)
• Min 3 years of experience in applying AI to biological research, with a strong preference for experience in protein design or drug development initiatives
• Fluency in Chinese for internal & external communications and engagement
