About the company:
Currently, we are recruiting for a Chemistry Lab Technician to work in a market leading manufacturer of decorative paints. The product range includes everything from paints to preparation, accessories and more.
 
About the role:
The successful candidate would be working the afternoon shift (1:15pm – 8:45pm), alongside a Senior Lab Technician, and full training will be provided. The primary role of the chemistry lab technician is to:
  • Undertake basic testing on batches manufactured by production, using specified test methods
  • General admin work, filing and calibration of instruments
  • Undertake general maintenance duties to ensure working area is clean, tidy and fully operational
  • Ensure compliance with all Work Health, Safety and Environmental laws & regulations
 
Requirements:
  • Recently completed a Bachelor of Science in a relevant discipline (ideally in chemistry)
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality control
  • Good colour vision
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Commitment to improving productivity
