Our client is a leading national firm with a growing demand in the property & projects space. A need has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate or junior Special Counsel with 6-9 PAE in the Environment and Planning team in Sydney to work closely with a Special Counsel on environment, planning, natural resources & development work.

The role will involve a split of back-end & front-end advisory with a focus on litigation including:
  • Acting for a range of public & private clients, including government agencies in NSW but developers and private sector clients.
  • Strategic planning & development advisory work such as due diligence, development contributions & planning agreements; and
  • Appearance/court work including development appeals, Judicial review proceedings & attending prosecutions in the Land & Environmental Court.
Working closely with a Special Counsel, you will display a high degree of autonomy whilst mentoring juniors within the team. You will be a strategic thinker with a client facing approach.
