Senior Research Engineer – 24 Month Contract

A global Energy company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Engineer to join their dynamic team, focusing on low carbon cooling technologies. You will play a key role in supporting and executing various research projects through system modelling/simulation, theoretical analysis, data science, and proof-of-concept experiments. Additionally, you will guide and mentor other Engineers whilst ensuring timely delivery of high-quality project outcomes.

As Senior Research Engineer, you will research low-carbon cooling technologies and innovative solutions for business applications. You will be responsible for conducting technology watch, benchmarking technical and economic analysis to validate solutions, thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis as well as system modelling/simulation. In addition, you will display expertise in DHC and/or HVAC to support design and optimisation projects.

You will have a Master or Ph.D. in Physics, Mechanical, Thermal, Refrigeration, Building Ventilation, Power Generation Engineering or other related engineering qualifications coupled with strong experience in cooling related research and development. Your skills will include data analytics, modelling, and simulation to support ongoing research projects.
