This agency is known for having a great culture across different teams and have excellent office locations.  A great opportunity for an experienced Legal Practice and Capability officer to join this busy team for a long term 12-month temporary assignment.



About the role:
  • Assisting by providing expertise and advice in specialist areas, contributing towards the Agency’s programs, activities, outcomes and initiatives.
  • Assisting with internal and external stakeholder relationships, achieving work area and agency goals by providing administrative and other support.
  • Managing and completing administrative functions for operational support roles within the work area.
  • Providing support with preparation of written documentation, internal and external communication, briefs, policy and strategy documents and training materials.
  • Providing administrative support and maintenance of internal systems and reporting functions, helping the Agency meet requirements.
  • Providing assistance and advice on policy and procedural documents with the specialised work area.
  • Managing meeting schedules, capturing minutes, and managing action items collating and reviewing agendas and meeting papers.
  • Assessing and maintaining quality assurance processes and documentation relating to cases.
  • Record keeping and updating internal record trackers.

  • You will have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You will have strong engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • You will have ability to problem-solve and undertake tasks that may require research and analysis.
  • You will have initiative and work independently to complete tasks with limited guidance.
 

Benefits:
  • ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
  • 12-month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension
  • Full time hours Monday to Friday
  • Canberra, ACT location + hybrid working from home options.
  • $55.24 per hour + Super
