Apply: Insurance Support Lawyer or Senior Paralegal - 5 years upwards

Global insurance and reinsurance firm is seeking a Support Lawyer or Senior Paralegal with at least 5 years’ of insurance or litigation experience to assist the Partners on a consultancy basis.  20-25 hours per week – initially for a period of 3 months. Flexible work from home arrangement as well as access to the Melbourne or Sydney office.
 
Working closely with senior Partners & the BD team, you will have the opportunity to become involved in the following:

  • Drafting, developing & producing external contents for the firm.
  • Editing & co-authoring a range of articles & publications for media purposes in order to provide insights and add value to the firm’s client base.
  • Ad-hoc research tasks and updating the Partners on legislative changes/reform in the general insurance space.
The candidate will possess the following skills:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a lawyer or paralegal in general insurance or litigation.
  • An understanding of and a keen interest in reforms & updates in the insurance space.
  • Strong research skills with excellent drafting abilities.
  • Technically savvy with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce work in a fast-paced environment & manage multiple deadlines.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills in order to build rapport with Partners and clients of the firm.
In return you will have the flexibility to work remotely but with the support and infrastructure of the firm whilst working closely with highly-regard insurance Partners and clients. Your working hours will be flexible.
