Apply: Assistant Accountant - 12 month contract

Our client is a fast-growing commercial and residential property developer who own and manage a number of Iconic buildings across Australia. They offer an excellent company culture and, for the right candidate, the potential for a permanent role at the end of the 12 months.

You will be working closely with Finance Manager and the other team members to meet all statutory and management reporting requirements. Your main responsibilities will be but not limited to:

The role:

  • Perform accounts payable function;
  • Perform month end tasks (including journal posting, invoicing and receipting, reporting, reconciliations)
  • Assist in group reporting to Head Office;
  • Assist in system implementation and migration projects, including checking opening balances, updating schedules, reports, etc.;
  • Assist in external and internal audit;
  • Assist with statutory compliances – FBT, BAS/GST and any other legislative obligations from time to time;
  • Perform other tasks where required.


Skills and Experience:
  • Proven professional accounting experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite (preferable not compulsory)
