About the role
We're looking for a Conference Manager/Senior Producer to join our team in Shanghai. As part of our Content function, your key responsibilities will include:

• This role will be responsible for overseeing the research, program development, speaker acquisition, and project management of a broad range of events.
• The role involves working alongside the marketing and sales teams to ensure the event achieves its goals and targets and meets the needs of the audience and sponsors.
• Conduct in-depth research to develop strong knowledge of industry sector
• Investigate and generate new topic ideas in alignment with global trends, and provide direction to the conference content
• Communicate by phone and email with key industry figures to determine the validity of proposed topic, partnership
• Write the conference program, invite speakers, liaise with speakers to ensure attendance, organize or assist in the organizing of the event
• Liaise with speakers throughout the conference production cycle
• Assist with direct sales for attendance to prospective delegates and for potential sponsors, when required.
• Assist in any logistics planning, pre-event logistics management, as well as onsite and post-event logistics.
• Support the Content Director on ad hoc projects

Your experience
 

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Ideally 3+ years overall experience in China with a minimum of 1+ years in fintech exposure ideally. Currently well connected in China within the industry/ with great industry knowledge
• Experience in dealing with government relations/officials and senior executives within the industry is essential
• A solid understanding of what the senior players in China’s industry value from speakers at conferences
• Good working knowledge of industry; able to confidently discuss relevant topics with industry experts
• Ability to develop and sustain good relationships at all levels, industry and cultures is essential
• Problem solver and a self-starter – must be able to think on your feet and react quickly and calmly under pressure
• Exceptional attention to detail – we strive to ensure that everything we deliver is at a premium level

• Self-motivated - able to work independently and take responsibility for
