Our client is a leading ASX listed organisation and employer of choice.  they are a household name in the market and a leader within their field.

Due to an internal promotion they are looking for an exceptional financial reporting manager who can join their high performing group finance team and end to end financial control, financial and regulatory reporting for the group's corporate entities

Leading a team of 4 and Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting you will focus on:
  • Lead and manage deliverables assigned to the team such as:
  • Accurate and timely completion of financial statements, left hand note analysis, relevant Board / Board Audit Committee papers and solvency declarations for Corporate entities and other group entities determined from time to time
  • Provision of Technical accounting advice and recommendation of actions to implement relating to acquisitions, mergers, divestments and other significant transactions
  • Presentation to Sub-Committees and Steercos as required;
  • Presentation of financial submissions to Board
  • Proactive collaboration with senior execs across the group
  • Accountable for practical and commercially focused technical accounting advice that delivers optimal capital and profit or loss outcomes.
  • Lead the delivery of the Group’s Corporate financial reporting processes and disclosures.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of financial statements and other documents and disclosures for the group's entities (standalone and consolidated) in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the timely delivery and accuracy of regulatory reporting
  • Proactively engage across Finance community to provide advice and support to ensure strong financial and regulatory reporting controls are maintained.

Required skills and experience:
  • CA Qualified with 5 years post qualified experience in a technically focused finance manager/financial reporting manager role (ideally within a group role)
  • Experience in large complex listed organaisation 
  • high calibre individual history of high achievement
  • Outstanding communication skills 
  • Exposure to banking or financial services would be beneficial (not essential)
  • Previous technical accounting / advisory experience would be beneficial (not essential)
  • Big 4 audit experience highly regarded (would consider experienced manager or senior manager from Big 4 firm making first move out)
