They currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic financial analyst with strong powerpoint and excel skills to join one of their core business units on an initial 12 month contract basis.  Reporting into Head of FP&A you will focus on the following deliverables:

• Provide analytical and planning support to the strategic planning and expense management team 
• Assist with the analysis and preparation of various outputs to stakeholders including providing assistance to the business
• Assist in to projections, scenario analysis and preparation of articulate  papers
• Expense and FTE management and reporting
• Various monthly checks and controls
• Assist in preparation of reporting Packs
• Support business heads with their financial data requirements with articulate and appropriate basic visuals to ensure that complex issues are explained in simple terms
• Analysis and interpretation of data from various data systems
• Liaise with IT to procure and reconcile data extracts as required
• Ad-Hoc projects as directed by the Head of FP&A 

This is a great opportunity for a newly / recently qualified CA/CPA management accountant or financial analyst to join a leading insurance group in a value add role. The role is initially a 12 month contract but could well lead to permanent 

Required skills and experience:

• CA/CPA/CIMA newly or recently qualified (finalist or part qualified may also be considered)
• 2 – 4 years of practical experience in management accounting or financial planning and analysis role
• Exposure to large complex financial services or blue chip commercial group
• An understanding of accounting principles including P&L and Balance Sheet
• Excellent excel skills
• Proficient power point skills with experience in charting and basic visualization.
• Knowledge of process, methods and tools of financial reporting
